2 Explain partitions and inodes

3 understand the elements of the root hierarchy

4 Navigate the files system
5 create and remove
6 copy and delete
7 configure file permissions

cabinet = file system
drawer = directory
folder = directory
report = file

there are 2 path names

Absolute and relative to

ex - /home/user3/f1

Absolute ALWAYS starts with a /

relative - doesn't start with a / f1
